Important:
The European Union has enacted legislation (EU Council Directive 2007/43/EC) effective June 2010. The new directive seeks to lower ammonia levels by reducing the maximum density of birds to from 43 kgs/m2 to 33 kgs/m2 (a reduction from 28 chickens/m2 to about 22 chickens/m2). As Cleanbird® reduces ammonia levels in poultry houses to well below the 20 ppm limit, this technology helps commercial growers to maintain existing population levels and earnings.
