Cleanbird®

Cleanbird® essentially acts as a stationary ”vacuum cleaner” that stands in the middle of a poultry house, sucks in the ammonia laden and malodorous air, thick with dust, filtrates it and treats it with ozone / ultraviolet rays to kill bacteria and virus. The purified and disinfected air is then recirculated back into the house.

Using only tap water and electricity (i.e., no paper, textile or membrane filters to replace), Cleanbird® provides commercial poultry growers with a highly effective, economical solution to a range of serious problems resulting from poor air quality in factory growing houses.

One Cleanbird® unit is able to clean the atmosphere from about 400 m2, the space required for about 10.000 broilers. Cleanbird® unit is designed to work in every kind of poultry producing farms, no matter how the ventilation system is. Applying a farm with necessary units is easy.

Cleanbird® acts to significantly reduce:
– harmful levels of ammonia (a natural byproduct of animal waste)
– carbon dioxide (CO2)
– unpleasant odors
– airborne dust and other suspended organic particles which are the principal vehicles by which bacteria, virus and other pathogens are transmitted from bird to bird (or bird to man)

The benefits of using Cleanbird® are:
– higher profits
– healthier birds
– decreased risk of disease (to birds and to man)
– cleaner air expelled to neighboring areas
– a more gentle impact on the environmental
– considerably less energy consumption for air conditioning and heating

Important

Cleanbird® will become a necessary feature in most commercial broiler farms located in (or exporting to) the European Union, as recently enacted regulations (to take effect in 2010) dramatically reduce allowable population densities in broiler houses as well as set lower ammonia and CO2 levels. By using Cleanbird®, farmers can significantly lower ammonia and CO2 readings thereby legally maintaining the number of birds they raise (and maintaining their income levels).
